Zambia News Desk

Zambia News Desk

The Zambia News Desk is located in Lusaka, Zambia's capital and largest city. Zambia, located in southern Africa, gained its independence in 1964. Zambia was named one of the world's fastest economically reforming countries in 2010, yet its socio-economic development suffers from a large burden of preventable and treatable diseases.

The Zambia News Desk was established in 2009. With just two reporters, it remains one of GPI's smallest desks. Still, both women tackle challenging issues such as child abuse, alcohol abuse, HIV/AIDS, poverty and rights for disabled people.
