I studied communication sciences at the University of Buenos Aires. Since graduating when I was 24, I have worked for various Argentine media outlets, such as Télam, the state news agency; Noticias Argentinas, a private news agency; Ambito Financiero, a newspaper; and Perfil, a publishing company. Then, I was an editor for the international news service of the German Deutsche Presse-Agentur for 14 years in Buenos Aires and Madrid. I also took photographs for the agency and served as a photography editor.
I joined GPI in June 2011, and since May 2012, I have had the honor of coordinating and editing the work of four women who write for GPI in Buenos Aires as the country editor of the Argentina News Desk. I think that GPI has allowed me to combine two areas that were previously unlinked for me: journalism and social work. I think one of the strengths of GPI is the collective construction of knowledge, a construction in which the culture and history of each member is valued and taken into account at all times.
