I AM A GPI REPORTER BECAUSE: I love to write what I see around me. Also, I enjoy the network of women, where women's voices concerning issues that affect them are put in the frontline. That GPI is centered on voicing women's experiences from around the world, giving them an avenue to be heard, to be strenghthened and to be supported, is so uplifting.
MY WORK IS POWERFUL BECAUSE: Being a GPI reporter is important because it is a platform for the Kenyan woman, and the African woman, as the opportunities to write and share give us, as Kenyan women, inner power, as we voice what matters to us, as women, in a society that has from time to time ignored the voices of women in decision-making platforms such as the family, workplaces and in politics. It helps us, as women, negotiate for our space wherever we are.
